Fall colors are peaking

Here in northern MN the leaves are right a peak and will be there for another week or so. This is the time to take a scenic drive thru the northwoods to view the change of seasons. The back roads around Gilstead and Webster lakes is a great place to drive. Another trip to take is one farther north which takes you up by Red Lake and that area. There might be a good chance at seeing some black bear while taking this drive. Visit http://www.whitebirchresort.net/ for more details.

Hunting in Minnesota!

Whether you are after big game, small game, or waterfowl, you'll find it when you stay at White Birch Resort. This area has an abundance of whitetail deer and open season begins in mid-September for archery and early November for firearms. Ruffed grouse are also a commodity here with the season starting in mid-September. For that "really big game" hunter, the season for Minnesota Black Bear opens at the end of August. Thousands of migratory birds come each year to nest and stay for the summer and fall. Canadian Geese and ducks are popular birds hunted on our area lakes. Waterfowl season begins the end of September. Take a look at our hunting calendar below and then book your next hunting vacation with us.
